In 1973, JWC invented the Muffin Monster^® grinder to minimize clogging and protect process equipment in sewage treatment facilities. This base technology was incorporated into several award-winning products. JWC has received four Water Environment Federation (WEF) "Innovative Technology Awards", the ONLY company to win more than two awards. The tradition of innovation continues with the growth of our Monster Separation Systems^®.

JWC Environmental is continuing research and development to introduce new products, providing solutions in wastewater treatment, solids reduction, solids removal and processing. The company holds a technology lead with 15 active US patents, many worldwide patents and several issues pending.
